NEWCASTLE Herald readers get the chance this week to win a new optical mouse and a picture editing program, courtesy of Microsoft.
Five copies of Microsoft's Picture It! Photo Studio 2001, valued at $119, are up for grabs.
With each copy of Picture It! will come a Microsoft WheelMouse Optical, incorporating the latest in mouse technology and valued at $59.95.
Picture It! Photo Studio provides a powerful way to improve photos, create photo projects and share them in prints, e-mail and on the web.
The program has a gallery feature that organises pictures, sounds and animations. Catalogued items can be searched by name, date or event to find photos quickly.
Microsoft has thrown out mechanical mouse technology with its Wheel Mouse Optical.
The Wheel Mouse, which is PC and Mac compatible, uses a single optical sensor to record movement. It has no moving parts, so cleaning and wear-and-tear are a thing of the past.
